Savor Downtown  - The Downtown Redlands Business Association is pleased to again host Savor Downtown: A self-guided tour through downtown businesses to sample the sumptuous offerings from local eateries. Guests will sample various cuisines and food specialties from Redlands’ favorite restaurants and caterers.  Savor Downtown will feature food galore and live entertainment in beautiful historic downtown Redlands on Friday, October 3rd from 6 pm until 9 pm.

This is a ticketed event, limited to 350 event attendees. Ticket sales will begin in early September, at $15/person advance or $20/person at the door. To participate as a restaurant, or for more information, please contact the Downtown Redlands Business Association at 909-798-7548.

The 80th Concert Season of the San Bernardino Symphony Orchestra begins Saturday, Oct. 4 with the Inland Empire's first performance of Anton Bruckner's Symphony No. 1 in c minor featuring world renowned violinist Dmitry Sitkovetsky as guest artist. The concert, an "Orchestral Tribute to Frank Plash," is in memory of the Inland Empire arts patron and  internationally recognized authority on the music and life of Anton Bruckner. The Symphony, directed by Maestro Carlo Ponti, music director and conductor, will also perform Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy's Violin Concerto in e minor, op. 64 and von Weber's Oberon Overture. Sitkovetsky is a master violinist who has worked with the world's best symphonies, including the London Symphony, and Berlin Philharmonic, and whose numerous recording projects include all the major violin concerti. The concert will begin at 8 p.m. in the California Theater of the Performing Arts, 562  West 4th St. Students: $10 and general admission is $20, $35, $45, $55. Phone:  (909) 381-5388. The Veteran's 18th Annual Car Show.  8am to 3:30pm Sunday Oct. 5th, 20087 at the Jerry L. Pettis Memorial VA Medical Center in Loma Linda, Ca.  All proceeds to benefit Veterans.  Fee to enter a car is $20.00, Admission is free.   Vehicles on display will include cars from the 20's, 30's, 40's, 50's & 60's in addition to period military and service vehicles.  For information :  www.veterancarshow.com   
  
15th Annual Redlands Conservancy Fall Social and Membership Drive. 6:30pm  The Redlands Conservancy is a non-profit  organization dedicated to the preservation and adaptive reuse of worthy old buildings in the Redlands community.  Reservations must be received by October 3rd.  Tickets at #30.00 each for members and $45.00 each for non-members.  For more information, call N. 3rd Annual Building A Generation Golf Tournament
When is a round of golf more than just a round of golf? When it’s a perfect day and you’re playing for a good cause. Building A Generation’s 3rd Annual Golf Fundraiser will be held Monday, October 6th at Redlands Country Club. Golf packages begin at $175 per person or $600 per foursome, with additional sponsorship packages available. Golf cart, green fees, lunch on the course, buffet dinner, and gift bag included for all players. Putting Contest at 11:00 a.m. with Shotgun Start at 12 Noon. The 5:30 p.m. dinner program includes a silent auction of sports memorabilia, a live auction, and several opportunity drawings.
Building A Generation is a non-profit community-based program that has served the East Valley of San Bernardino County since 1996. With grant funding from the First Five Commission of San Bernardino County, Building A Generation established four Family Resource Centers within the Redlands Unified School District. These centers provide services to children and families in the areas of basic needs, school readiness, and injury prevention, and are open to all families living in the East Valley area.

The annual golf fundraiser provides Building A Generation with the means to increase the programs offered to all elementary age children and to expand services and support to include middle and high school youth. San Gorgonio Search and Rescue Team Golf Tournament will be held October 6th, 2008 at Shandin Hill Golf Club in San Bernardino. Pre-registration fees are 90.00 per player or 360.00 per foursome.  Shotgun start at 12:30pm. Green and cart fees, buffet dinner and bottled ice water on the course are included.

Hole in One provided by Redlands Ford, with Longest Drive and Closest to Pin contests. Huge raffle event, mulligan sales and other opportunities available. Fun is had by all participants.

The San Gorgonio Search and Rescue Team works under the direction of the Sheriffs Department and is a 100% volunteer emergency rescue team aiding in the search of lost hikers, flood and fire evacuations and rescue/recovery of passengers in vehicles that run over the side of our local mountain roads. 15th Annual Celebration of Childhood - Has been CanceledThe FREE event for children of all ages {geared for kids through age 11} will not be held in 2008.  Presented by The Kiwanis Club of Redlands - Young Children Priority One Committee, the event will feature games, crafts, stage show and information for parents from various public service organizations, schools, day care centers, and the Redlands Police and Fire Departments. 2008 ALS Sierra  Challenge. San Bernardino Symphony presents: "Romantic Escapades" which features  Leonore Overture, No. 3, Op. 72b by Beethoven;  Piano Concerto No. 27 in B flat Major, K. 595 by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart with guest artist, Janina Fialkowska, an acclaimed Canadian American pianist;  Robert Schumann's  Symphony No.2 in C Major, op.61; The Richardson PREP HI Middle School Band will open the concert with a musical tribute to veterans, "Marches of the Armed Forces." 8 p.m. Sat. The 5th annual Redlands Thanksgiving Snowtacular will occur on the Saturday of Thanksgiving weekend at Tri-City Shopping Center in Redlands, from 10am to 5pm.  Snowtacular 2008 will feature the largest snowplay area outside of California's mountain ski resorts, as well as visits with Santa, horse and carriage rides, major music performances on the Snowtacular stage, carnival rides, and major Thanksgiving Weekend Holiday Sales spectaculars at Tri-City's 60 stores and restaurants.  Entertainers, musicians, and the like should contact Adventure Studios Events at http://www.adventure-studios.com for further information about performing at any of Tri-City's Spectacular Events.  For more information call 877.727.2828 or visit Tri City's website for event information at http://www.tri-city-center.com

Tickets are $20 for individual concerts. Season ticket prices: $80.00.  All concerts are held at Frederick Loewe Performance Hall, University of Redlands.

The Symphony Holiday Concert presented by Redlands Symphony at Memorial Chapel, University of Redlands. Co Bio Nguyen, Conductor.  Our greatest holiday tradition, the concert is a joyful celebration of the season and offers a fun night out for the entire family.  Don't miss this new Symphony Tradition. HOME TOUR:  The 40th Annual Holiday Home Tour is held on the first Sunday in December from 9 A.M. to 4 P.M.   Tour 7 of the finest homes in Redlands in a benefit fund raising event for the YMCA Legal Aid Program. Saturday, February 7th, 2009 - Lincoln Pilgrimage

Area Scouts Present the 70th annual Lincoln Pilgrimage, sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Redlands, will take place Sat., Feb. 7, 2009.  Participants will line up in parade positions at 9 a.m. on the Redlands High School baseball fields, corner of University Street and Citrus Avenue. Parade units will step-off at 10 a.m., and march to the Redlands Bowl, where the program will begin about 11 a.m.  If it is raining between 9 to 10 a.m., then the walking portion of the event will be suspended, and the program will be held at the RHS Terrier Gymnasium, located at Fern Avenue and Redlands Boulevard.  Click Here, for full information about the pilgrimage, in a special area of this website..

Sunday, February 8th, 2009   - Boy Scout Day

The 10th annual Redlands Triathlon & 5k Run at Redlands East Valley High School parking lot at 31000 East Colton Ave.  This family sports event includes a 5K run, 10 mile bike and 100 yard swim.  Registration for all events is from 6:30 a.m. until 7:45 a.m. at the high school and starting time for triathletes/duathletes and 5K runners is 8:00 a.m.   Registration includes a commemorative T-shirt.  Parking is available at the site.   All proceeds from the event will go to Holistic Healing for Youth located in Redlands.  For more information on the event CLICK HERE or, contact Events Director Renea Wickman at 909-307-6246 or email: myjibril@msn.com
